Time to say “Vanakkam” to Rider Mania 2014
This is an event no bullet rider should miss, ever! Rider Mania 2014 will be the biggest and largest gathering of Royal Enfields and Enfield riders in the world. Members of more than 70 biker clubs and individual bikers from all parts of India and abroad will ride to Chennai to celebrate the brotherhood and spirit of motorcycling.
The 2014 BOBMC Rider Mania is expected to witness a gathering of over 1200 avid Royal Enfield enthusiasts from all over the country with 800 confirmations already in place.
2012 Super Tenere Adventure XT900Z Concept
This is an personal concept study of a 900 Super Tenere Adventure by Nicolas Vontobel. It is based on his 2010 Super Tenere concept studies.
The upper side-covers are redesigned with a bigger air intake and it has now a larger 33 Litre fuel tank. The bike is stronger than the XT660Z and the F800GS but still capable for off-road sessions anywhere.
Translating from German, he says that the Super Tenere Adventure XT900Z (ADV) closes the gap between the XT660Z and XT1200Z. This is a motorcycle that is designed for long trips. Stronger (powerful) than the 660 and more agile than the 1200s. This version has an additional air inlet in comparison to the normal XT900Z.
Note that this is his personal work and not an official concept by Yamaha.
Super Tenere Adventure XT900z video
This video is a great reminder of how fantastic the Teneres were in the older Dakar era. And, the shot of the Tenere sliding through the dirt as it comes off the bridge towards the end of the video, makes it worth it!

Motorcycle Travellers Meet India (MTM India) 2013 was held near the outskirts of Tumkur last week, July 27-28. The weekend included talks, shows and tells, trip discussions, guidance and workshops. The event was not brand-specific and had all kinds of vehicles, from small two – strokes to large touring rigs. 
2007 Christmas weekend – Ride out
Started quite late in the morning because of last-minute packing for the Christmas weekend. This time, the bike was more considerate and broke down just as we got to Banashankari on the ring road! 😐 Abhi checked the clutch cable and found that to be working fine. The problem seemed to be a broken clutch cam that had to be purchased to replace.
