Royal Enfield enthusiasts from across the country will be jamming up in Goa, this weekend 11th and 12th of January 2003 for what is to be the first edition of Rider Mania. Over a hundred Bulleteers are expected to be in Goa for this mega event. An excerpt from the site about Rider Mania can be read below.
“Rider Mania, as this event was christened is an event by, for and of the Royal Enfield enthusiast, will last two days and will bring together the most passionate and loyal Royal Enfield owners from all over India – all riding down to Goa for the first ever national motorcycle meet in this part of the world. This meet would offer a platform for Royal Enfield riders of all ages and backgrounds to share experiences, take part in competitions and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded people. The event was concieved of and executed by members of the Royal Enfield Owners Groups in Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, New Delhi and Kerala. Members of these groups will ride for two or three days depending on where they are located so as to be in Goa on the 11th and 12th of January, 2003.
This event would be a regular annual affair, since the clubs in each state are growing by the day, and more people are discovering the thrill of seeing the country on a Royal Enfield. The event will have a high profile inauguration ceremony, and will feature technical sessions from various manufacturers, competitions for the best maintained and best modified motorcycles, and an award for the Rider of the Year, among other fun activities.
