FirstGear Trekker Jacket

This is one jacket that I used at the wrong time for the wrong reasons! I used this jacket one weekend at the race track in Coimbatore and a bit of commuting inside the city before I had to return it. This jacket is heavy and bulky and doesn’t allow you to tuck in on the bike.

You are better off riding in a standard to semi-sport seating position while wearing this jacket. It gets really hot in climates such as ours and though it has air vents it doesn’t seem to work well at full tuck. It’s obvious this has never meant to be a race jacket, so let’s not read too much into this.

But the plus points can be seen when touring. The jacket has a lot of pockets and a rear air vent too which has a small hood to prevent water from getting in. All air vents can however be closed with good strong zippers. The construction quality is really good with leather on the impact areas. This would be a great jacket for touring in the cold temperatures as it comes with a liner which supposedly provides a lot of warmth. Didn’t use the liner when I used jacket so, no comments!

If you are a person who lives in cold areas with frequently travels to the hilly regions this would be a great buy!
