When I read that the new Cramster Hippo was twice as big, I did not expect it to be THIS big. I have used this like a miniature backpack replacement, more than a waist pack. I have here my review of it after using it for a while.
The next leg of the ride was through the state of Gujarat. Riding through this state was a transit to get to Maharastra. We broke the journey into a two-day ride-through – Udaipur to Baroda on the first and Baroda to Dadra on the next.
Building a list of spares that you need to carry with a motorcycle from the Royal Enfield Classic series. This list can be used by not only the Classics, but other models like Classic 350, Classic 500, Classic Chrome, Classic Desert Storm, Classic Battle Green and all of the Bullet series.
On a longer ride, you’ll need everything that you carry on a short ride as listed below. More than that, you may need spares like clutch plates or something else. But, given that the UCE engined motorcycles are still in production, any thing major can be fixed by heading to the nearest RE workshop. If you’re the true DIY type of person, here’s a list.
Woke up early on the third day at the Wild Valley Farm and from yesterday’s experience, I knew Snoopy would be around in one of the tents. What better companion than Snoopy, since we all need a small, vicious dog to protect us in the wild. Since I still had sometime for the sunrise, I walked around a bit. I went to the edge of the property to see if I could figure out what the sound from last night was. But, no luck. Snoopy, had gone back to sleep, probably a more intelligent decision. (Read Day 1 and Day 2 before this, if you missed it.)
On Saturday we woke up to a cloudy morning. It had been raining pretty much all last night. I had to get up mid-night to make sure that there were not any equipment that was getting wet. The tents are on a concrete base, so that’s good in a way. I had got most of the stuff onto some of the chair’s I lifted off from near the campfire, so everything was dry. I just had to move Kavitha’s cot a little to make sure that the drip from the lone hole in the tent’s canopy did not drip on to the bed. We slept really well that night, listen to the sound of rain on the tent. This is what we woke up to, a lovely foggy sunrise. (Read Day 1, before this if you missed it.)
