Crusty Demons – Freestyle Motocross stunt show

In this guest blog, author Keerthi Jayasimha writes about his experiences from the Crusty Demons, motocross stunt show held in Palace Grounds Bangalore. Event date: 2005, December 10

Palace Grounds Concert Area was chosen as the demonic site for all the evil stunts to be done by the Aussie team: Crusty Demons. Coupla streets away on the way to the venue I could already feel the high spirits of the approaching teenage motorcyclists savagely trying to overtake every possible vehicle in front. First highway ride on the Thunderbird

A quick phone call from a friend to eat yummy masala dosas at a town called Kanakapura about 60kms from Bangalore was the reason for the first highway ride on the Thunderbird. It was a great ride early in the morning and was completed without any hitches. Just a bit of sound from the front end on the way back which was rectified the next day when the bike went in for its first service.

Looking around for those missing pictures!

Ripping up Mysore road to Talkaad

Talkaad is a place off the Bangalore-Mysore highway and I on the shores of the river Kaveri. It is a place which has a lot of folklore going for it and a very interesting history. For a jist of what the place is about, its a beach on a river shore!!! 🙂 Yeah, a queen in days gone by cursed an army of soldiers which was in pursuit and they became sand. Every year the temples get covered by the sand and need to excavated continuously.

Ok! Why did we go to Talkaad? The Bangalore-Mysore highway is fast and winding.!! 🙂 The trip was an absolute blast, and was about 300kms in all. I have posted the write up by Aditya.

Ride on and read on! Continue reading Ripping up Mysore road to Talkaad
