Light painting the ThunderDuck

Doing a bit of light painting is how I spent Deepavali weekend at a campsite in the forest. Nice little ride and away from most of the noise and smoke which defines Deepavali in the city.

Here’s wishing you all a Very Happy Deepavali 2013.

Light Painting a motorcycle

What is light painting?

It is basically a long exposure photograph and using a light to illuminate parts of the object that you want to be captured in it.

RTMC 12A Event Report

Rolling Thunder’s 12th anniversary was held near Bagalkot at Kanthi Resorts. We missed meeting the pack at the start point having slept through the alarm. Luckily I had a backup plan in place. My alarm which was meant to be the get out of home alarm! We got ready as quickly as we could and headed towards the first regroup point which was also breakfast point about 100 km from home. Once we caught up we rode with the pack most of the way. We fell behind in places when we stopped to make pictures (like the one above) and caught up at regular intervals.

9 Photos Series – KTM Duke 390 photos

On a recent ride to Bagalkot in North Karnataka, 3 KTM Duke 390s joined us. So, to continue the 9 photos series, this time around, its photos of the KTM Duke 390 (updated link from the new model). These are some early morning shots of the KTM, including some detailed KTM Duke 390 photos. Though I haven’t yet gotten around to riding this motorcycle, looking at its performance on the highway from my motorcycles, it is the next king of the heap among Indian motorcycles, at the moment.

9 Photos of BMW R nineT

Starting  off a new series called 9 Photos. We will be curating pictures of motorcycles that move us and / or have great work put into them.

I am starting this with 9 photos of BMW R nineT that truly capture its essence. In a year where cafe racers have been taking a more mainstream role, its great that BMW has finally released what seems like a lovely motorcycle.  With touring options no less, so as to be eligible for our blog! I can see myself on a solo journey on various back roads on a motorcycle like this!

Off the internet; riding for a bit.

We’re heading off on the highway, riding for a bit on the motorcycle. Will be riding with Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club for the 12th anniversary meet. So, I am not sure if we’ll be updating our blog for a couple of days.

However, I hope to come back worth some good photos and report next week. In other news before I head off, I got my first android device, after years with an iPhone. Will see if I can update on the road like this post. This happens to be my first complete post from a mobile phone.

We’ll be in the general Hubli area. So if you’re in the vicinity give me a buzz from the contact us page.

Be good till then and rubber side down!
