Starting off a new series called 9 Photos. We will be curating pictures of motorcycles that move us and / or have great work put into them.
I am starting this with 9 photos of BMW R nineT that truly capture its essence. In a year where cafe racers have been taking a more mainstream role, its great that BMW has finally released what seems like a lovely motorcycle. With touring options no less, so as to be eligible for our blog! I can see myself on a solo journey on various back roads on a motorcycle like this!
(You can see the release of the nineT on BMW’s 90th birthday here if you missed it.)
BMW R nineT
Looks like a very comfortable touring setup on motorcycle with a pretty standard body position. Note the aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust that has replaced the standard twin exhaust setup on this motorcycle.

Low maintenance drive shaft. Thankfully they haven’t gone the chain route.

The Sunday morning rider’s cafe racer hump. Nicely integrated!

…the highway make me want to ride out too!

Tail lamps of the BMW R nineT
Very nicely designed LED tail lamps. Given the various set ups of the rear end of the motorcycle, I am not sure at the moment how they are integrating the tail lamps in other setups, especially when the tail section is removed.
