Harley-Davidson® announces its 2nd India H.O.G. ® Rally in Goa
during the India Bike Week 2014 to showcase the much awaited Street™ 750.
Remember the time a couple of months ago when the Street range of motorcycles from Harley Davidson was announced?
After a rousing debut in 2013, Harley-Davidson India will host its second national India H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Rally in just a few weeks in Goa. Hundreds of proud Harley-Davidson owners and their families from across the country are expected to ride into Goa to come together and celebrate their shared spirit of freedom and adventure, and passion for motorcycling. This unique event, exclusively for H.O.G. members, kicks off on January 16, 2014.
Street 750 to be released at India H.O.G Rally
Following the national rally, also in its second year, Harley-Davidson India is proud to serve as the principal sponsor of India Bike Week on January 17-18, 2014, also in Goa. India Bike Week is the country’s premier motorcycle festival open to all motorcyclists, clubs and enthusiasts. Adding to the excitement for this year’s event will be the unveiling of the widely anticipated Harley-Davidson Street™ 750 for the first time in India.
The festival in its second edition continues to be a one-stop-shop for all those who believe in biking to be their true religion. With an exciting line-up of activities, 26 live bands-DJs, 3 concert stages- the India Bike Week is certain to resonate an even deeper sense of brotherhood, excitement and felicitation for the biker community in India.
This year the India H.O.G Rally and India Bike Week also play host to Mr. Frank Savage, an industrial design leader from Harley-Davidson’s Product Development Center in Wisconsin, who played the lead role in the design of Harley-Davidson’s all new Street™ platform. The motorcycle design guru will also be part of the jury that will award the best customized Harley-Davidson motorcycle at the event. The H.O.G. Custom Contest is a nationwide search to discover the best customized Harley-Davidson among customers from each of the five families of H-D motorcycles – Sportster, Dyna, Softail, V-Rod and Touring.
Sharing his enthusiasm for the second edition of the India H.O.G Rally, Mr. Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India stated,
“Today we are the leader in premium leisure motorcycling with 13 dealerships across the country and nearly 4,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles on the road. Our association as a founding sponsor of India Bike Week is natural as we continue to develop leisure motorcycling in India for all enthusiasts. Our first India H.O.G. Rally at the beginning of the year saw over 600 Harley-Davidson owners riding into Goa from across India. This year we take it up a notch and are expecting close to 1,000 riders. Besides the opportunity to see their favorite experience of the Harley-Davidson lifestyle at the event, enthusiasts visiting India Bike Week will also be among the first in India to see the all new Harley-Davidson Street 750.”
This is the mailer that’s come in from Harley-Davidson.
