Details of the newest motorcycle on the block introduced with specs and photos of KTM RC 390. Though this is one of the 9 photos series, it was really hard for me to select from the gorgeous images of KTM RC 390. So, this post has an extended gallery right at the end of the article too.
Hmm… sigh! Ok, I’ll admit, this is the motorcycle that I have most anticipated this year though the one I put money down on a Royal Enfield Bullet 500. I waited, with the money, hoping that KTM would do a small ADV motorcycle. But, when they decided to go the sport bike route there wasn’t much of an option for replacing the aging ThunderDuck.
More space than the Dukes
More space both on and under the motorcycle is what I’ve heard. The increased clearance is aimed at cornering. But, for me, the most interesting part is the space on the motorcycle. From what I’ve heard, the tank design accommodates taller riders too and people taller than 6 feet have not cribbed about space. This gives me hope and may convince me to head back to the racetrack, even if only for track days.
Integrated Turn Signals at the front
I’m not sure how the wiring on this piece works. I like the fact that its one piece which means lesser things to remove on the race track, but on the other hand, when you remove the mirrors, where do you unplug the wiring? Will have to wait and see on that one.
Tell me what motorcycle has a tail lamp that similar?
KTM RC 390 Headlights
Dual projector beams for those runs on the highway. Definitely, look like they mean business. I like how that lower lip curves downwards too.
Brakes on the KTM RC 390
Comes with ABS, 300 mm in the front and 240mm at the rear. Ample stopping power for C1 in Kari Motor Speedway having flown down the straight. I assume.
All these close-up photos of KTM RC 390 make it look big. But, in reality, it should feel really slim and like the small but quick Moto 3 bikes?

Similar to the KTM Duke 390 is the KTM RC 390’s powerplant. Finally, we have a track focused motorcycle with an engine powerful enough to have fun on without having to weigh sub-60 kilograms. Of course, being light will definitely help but, you know what I mean.
